Kaity
Kaity has been a horse lover from the day she was born. She rode in many events as a youth including speed events, ranch and team sorting, drill team, extreme cowboy challenges, and jumping. In 2009 she enlisted in the Marine Corps and took a break from serious riding and competing. After being honorably discharged in 2012 Kaity earned her bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University in genetics and cellular development. Kaity and Matt moved back to California after she graduated and bought the home of Slidin’ S Ranch.
Kaity is an NRHA and AQHA professional horsewoman. Her most recent accomplishments include being the 2017 NRHA Northwest Regional Affiliate Finals Rookie Professional Champion, 2017 Gold N Grand Reserve Champion Open Ranch Horse, and 2016 WCRHA Year End Show Rookie Professional Reserve Champion.
Matt
Growing up on his Grandpa’s 5-acre ranch provided a love of country life for Matt. He was able to enjoy the company of multiple thoroughbreds. After meeting Kaity, Matt rode his first horse since he was 6 years old and he was hooked. Now he competes with Nostalgias Mistrial in Combined Driving Events when he isn’t working on his race car. He is also the resident camera man and ground coach for Kaity’s career!
Matt is currently a Senior Systems Engineer for a local computer consultant company. He handles the computer and website portion of things for the ranch as well.
